FEATURES // GAMBIZI
Leilani: How are you?
Gambizi: Maintaining my position in this business right now. Focusing on promoting my movement and being a leader in my independent hustle. I see the business better than ever now!

Leilani: Introduce yourself?
Gambizi: Gambizi is my name and I’ve been in the music game since the age of 10 writing and studying this business. I went through everything a industry artist has went through from, being in a group to losing friends to the business, to reinventing myself, smiles and frowns. I have worked to corner my own market now as a videographer, MC, writer, producer, and executive producer. My journey upward is tunnel vision.

Leilani: How long have you been in the music game, and what project(s) do you currently have out?
Gambizi: I’ve been writing music since I was in the 5th grade and have been in the music game for 12 plus years, strong and consistent. I have currently finished my First Official Digital Release project: "The Suite Life Of Gambizi & Frankie D" It is a Hip-Hop collaborative that has a successful texture to it and has opened the light on the new age music.

Leilani: Tell us what you have been up too since the last time we talked to you?
Gambizi: Since we have last met, I have focused more on securing the local market and keeping my focus on the bigger picture. Still traveling! But the game mostly I have focused on was editing and recording videos. I have perfected my skills in video editing and business management.

Leilani: We here that you went on tour, who did you go with and how was the experience?
Gambizi: I have been on a local 3 month tour performing and establishing my local presence in local bars and clubs, definitely an experience.

Leilani: What’s your favorite track on your project and why?
Gambizi: My favorite track on the album is "Ohh GIrl" it is sensual, personal and feels good.

Leilani: How has it been as an indie artist getting your music out there?
Gambizi: As an Indie artist in the business, it is frustrating and rewarding. Frustrating because you have to keep coming up with new formulas to keep people's attention and you’re holding the torch and owning it yourself for years at a time. People only gravitate when success is there. It is also rewarding because you can control your own craft and put out whatever music you see fit.

Leilani: What’s next for you?
Gambizi: What is next for me is to hire a full term publicist and promotional company that can make this happen and get my name out there more.

Leilani: Any advice for those interested into getting in the music game?
Gambizi: Consistency and Focus. Anyone can make music, but its how you market (yourself) and how you stay current.

Leilani: If fans or individuals want to reach out to you where can they go to do so?
Gambizi: www.reverbnation/gambizi Facebook.com (gambizi fan page) (facebook.comofficalgambizi) Youtube.com

Leilani: Any Shouts Outs?
Gambizi: GOD, MBC Ent, Frankie D, Manny Davis and My family.
